Nokia Browser 2.0 Now Available For Series 40 Smartphones

By Simon Thomas on 25th April 2012

Nokia have released a new version of Nokia Browser for all Series 40 smartphones, which includes the Nokia Asha and Nokia C3-00. The Nokia Browser comes is the default software on all of Nokia's Series 40 smartphones.

The Nokia Browser first launched last year and one of its main draws is that it compresses web-pages and files  by up to 90 per cent which ensures faster browsing, while at the same time reducing the amount of data used.

Nokia Browser 2.0 improves on the previous version in a number of ways and 3G recommends all S40 smartphone owners update to this version.

One such improvement is the inclusion of a "Download Manager" which enables you to easily save pictures, music and files onto your microSD card when your surfing the world-wide-web. Additionally, the new version enables you to multi-task meaning you can easily and quickly switch between your browser and the your text messages.

Social networking is at the core of every browser and Nokia Browser 2.0 has now made it simple to share URL's and comments with your favourite social network from inside the browser. The new version also has a redesigned user-interface which makes it even easier to use !

Owners of Series 40 devices should get prompted to install the latest version of Nokia Browser , but if for some reason you don't then you can visit the Nokia Store.
