Google are widely expected to unveil a range of Google-branded tablets sometime this year which they hope can rival the likes of the Apple iPad and the Amazon Kindle Fire.
New information suggests that Google might launch a tablet store to sell their branded-tablets direct to consumers. Both Apple and Amazon have their own stores that sell directly to consumers, so Google probably think it makes sense to have one of their own.
This isn't the first time Google has tried to sell a device direct to consumers, because they tried this approach when they launched the Google Nexus One. However, that was a huge failure and Google will hoping the Google Tablet store proves much more succesful.
We've heard various rumours about a Google tablet over the last couple of months. The rumurs suggest that Google will announce both an affordable Google tablet to rival the Kindle Fire and a premium tablet to compete with the Apple iPad.
As soon as 3G hears anything about the Google Tablet Store or any information about the tablets themselves we'll let you know.
