O2 Germany has announced via its official Twitter page that the HP Veer will be coming to their network in June. These launches normally hit the whole of Europe at a similar time so we'd expect a UK launch in June.

The HP Veer is the first mobile to be released since HP acquired Palm earlier this year.

The new smartphone is the most compact webOS smartphone ever with dimensions of just 54.5 * 94 * 15.1 mm and a weight of just 103 grams. However, that doesn't stop it having a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a solid mid-range specification.

A 2.6 inch touch-screen is present which runs at a resolution of 320*400. The Veer is powered by an 800MHz Snapdragon processor and has 8GB of on-board memory. Other features include a 5 mega-pixel camera , Adobe Flash 10.1 and built-in GPS.
