Galaxy S Gingerbread Update Hits Europe

Android Gingerbread is now being rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy S across Europe.
Users in Germany, Austria and Holland have already been able to download the update but users in the UK are yet to see it become available. However, it will be coming soon becausea manual for "Android 2.3 on the Galaxy S" has appeared on Samsung's UK website.
The Android 2.3 update is only available to download using Samsung's Kies software which you install on your desktop PC.
The update will bring a number of improvements to the Galaxy S including a new on-screen keyboard, improved user-interface, better copy and paste and an improved download manager.
The Samsung Galaxy S is one of Samsung's most successful smartphones of all time and it's successor the Galaxy S2 will be launching on the 1st May.
