6.2 Million iPhones Sold Per Month
![]() |
There's been a lot of talk about how well Apple are doing in terms of sales with increasing pressure from both Android and BlackBerry, but Apple has no immediate need to be concerned.
Apple has just released its second quarter performance fiqures ( Jan/Feb/March ) and this shows that the company made a profit of just under $6 Billion during the period. This compares to just $3 Billion for the same period last year.
Apple sold 18.7 million iPhones during the quarter which equates to 6.2 million per month. This increased by over 112% over the same period last year. iPad sales have not fared so well with 4.7 million sold, although that's as many as they had available to sell they so couldn't actually sell any more.
We here at 3G can only see the success of the iPhone continuing and eagerly await to get our hands on the iPhone 5. More on this here.
