HTC To Produce Their Own Operating System ?
![]() |
The president of HTC has stated that the mobile manufacturer is looking at producing their own mobile operating system.
This is a bold move from HTC and one that requires an incredible amount of investment but could prove worthwhile in the long term. Not only would HTC get a custom-made solution that suits their own mobiles but they would also remove the reliance they have on other companies, such as Microsoft or Google.
HTC have also been rumoured to be interested in buying Palm and perhaps this would coincide with the operating system being built. The Palm operating system has been a huge success and perhaps HTC hopes to integrate Palms expertise to produce a HTC mobile OS.
If we hear more about this development we’ll be sure to let you know.
