First Vodafone Branded Android Smartphone
The Vodafone 845 is the first Vodafone branded Android powered smartphone and it will be ready to buy very soon. This is an interesting smartphone as it is claimed to be low cost yet high specification.
You can pre-order the Vodafone 845 here.
The Vodafone 845 is powered by Android 2.1 ( Éclair ) and many thousands of Apps can be downloaded from Android Market. Additionally, the Vodafone 845 comes with Vodafone 360 Apps such as MyWeb and Vodafone Music.
Although Vodafone say this smartphone is high spec it only comes with a smallish 2.8 inch touchscreen and a 3.2 Megapixel camera. It is a 3G HSDPA smartphone, has WiFi, Bluetooth and 500MB of onboard RAM.
A neat Vodafone demo can be seen above. Other non-branded Android handsets on Vodafone are HTC Desire, Sony Ericsson X10 and the HTC Legend. The Google Nexus one arrives very soon on 5th May. The Vodafone 845 is confirmed as being available sometime in May but no pricing is currently available.
