Google has been working hard at launching Google Maps via 3G mobile phones and now Blackberry users will see a big step forward. Google Maps 4.0 for Blackberry has new features which makes things quicker and easier as detailed below

- Blackberry smartphone users can now “Search by Voice”. To do this simply hold the call button and your search will be voice activated when you speak. The Google Nexus One, the iPhone, some Nokia devices and Palm have all had voice activated Google search for a while now.

- Google Buzz arrives on Blackberry with the arrival of Google Maps 4.0 for Blackberry. Google Maps for Mobile used in conjunction with the Google Buzz layer feature lets you share pictures, news and more. To start the Google Buzz layer select “Layers” from the Maps menu and the select “Post Buzz” to create your own post e.g. Hey you guys I've arrived at the camp site – see you soon. - Google Maps on Android was updated with personalized search suggestions in March this year and this now arrives on Blackberry. This enables quicker searching because Google remembers your search history and offers you search options based on your previous searches as you start typing a search.
