Blackberry 6 Close Up
Blackberry 6 was first covered by 3G.co.uk in April this year here - BlackBerry OS 6.0 Details And ScreenShots Leaked. Blackberry have now officially announced its Blackberry 6 Operating System with a launch scheduled sometime after July this year.
Blackberry 6 will function with both touchscreen and non-touchscreen mobile devices and will use the WebKit browser. A demo of Blackberry 6 can be seen above.
New additions are believed to be :
- The media player features the album covers to browse between track.
- New touch-screen gestures have been added to improve navigation including kinetic scrolling and rubber banding, which reverse the scrolling when you hit the bottom of a page.
- Customise the home-screen with BlackBerry OS 6.0
- Features a new photo browser with thumbnails.
- Tabbed-browsing which enables you to have multiple web pages open inside the same browser.
