Apple iPhone Sales Soar by 130 Percent

Apple issued financial / sales performance figures for the first three months of 2010. Apple reported selling 8.75 million iPhones and 2.95 million Macintosh PCs with a quarterly profit of 1.62 Billion US dollars. In addition they sold over 10.5 million iPoda. The iPhone sales of 8.75 million represents a 131 percent unit growth ( over the year ago quarter ).
Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO said “We’re thrilled to report our best non-holiday quarter ever, with revenues up 49 percent and profits up 90 percent. We’ve launched our revolutionary new iPad and users are loving it, and we have several more extraordinary products in the pipeline for this year.”
