Android App Downloads to Hit 800 Million in 2010

The total number of App downloads to mobile phones and devices in 2010 is forecast to top 6 Billion says ABI Research. 3G.co.uk have looked at the forecast and note that over 800 million Android Apps will be downloaded to Android devices this year. See graph above.
In 2009 the total number of Apps from all makes such as Blackberry, Apple iPhone, Nokia, Windows Phone series, Android, Samsung Bada and Palm was close to 2.5 Billion and the forecast for 2010 is over 6 Billion.
Of course, the dominant player is Apple with its Apple iPhone and this will continue to beyond 2015 as forecast by ABI Research.
