3 have announced a new service on their network which is “In Car Wi-Fi”.

It’s a cool service that enables you to have a Wi-Fi network in your car that all your family and friends can use. So for example, your work partner can use his laptop on the way to work or your child can hook up their Nintendo DSi or your sibling can hook up their iPod touch.

It works by using a 3G network connection and running it through a MiFi modem to create your own personal Wi-Fi network.

To support the launch of “In Car Wi-Fi” 3 have launched a new In Wi-Fi Kit which includes a MiFi wirelesss modem, Mains charger, In-car charger, Windscreen Holder and 1GB of data. All this comes in at £59.99 which is great value.
