"Qeeps is one of those products that people fall in love with once they try it" comments Stewart McCone, Technical Director, Vemotion Interactive Limited - parent company of Qeeps, "So to help showcase the power of our service, we are offering a free one month service inclusive of 60 connection minutes for any UK or international end user or security installer with access to a qualifying DVR."

Qeeps (pronounced keeps) is a hosted service allowing users to connect remotely to any compatible Digital Video Recorder (DVR) via IP to receive both real-time and recorded video footage on almostany mobile device. The service is typically used in conjunction with CCTV cameras but any connected source, such as a video feed from a computer, can be viewed using Qeeps.

McCone explains, "We currently support most models of DVR from leading vendors and around 95% of current model mobile phones, PDA's and hybrid mobile devices are compatible with our viewer software. "

To sign up for the free trail account, users simply contact the Qeeps service desk and provide the make and model of DVR they want to connect to the service and the type of mobile device they want to access the service with. Applicants with suitable equipment will be sent a sent a free copy of the Qeeps mobile viewer software applications, Qeeps installation guide and Qeeps Guard account details which will provide either 1 month of access or up to 60 minutes of free connection time.

The trial requires no credit card details or contracts. However, users may be charged for data calls based on individual mobile operator pricing and calling plans. This charge is not levied by Qeeps, which makes no financial gain from mobile operator data call charges.

At the end of the trial period, user will be given the option to upgrade to a full Qeeps service with additional features such as event notifications and DVR monitoring. The full Qeeps service requires a monthly subscription which starts from only GBP7.49.

McCone adds "Our service is balanced across our state of the art data centre and is designed to scale to thousands of concurrent users, so we are able to support free trial users easily, offering the same level of service as full license customers."

The Qeeps service is the only "vendor neutral" solution for delivering CCTV footage to mobile devices and has been developed in the UK based on technology pioneered by early mobile content providers.

For a number of years, the Qeeps technical team has been developing software interfaces for all the major DVR manufacturers to allow the service to connect remotely and stream video footage without the need for additional onsite equipment. Qeeps delivers full colour video and optional audio to mobile phones or similar hand held wireless device using a specially patented version of the H.264 encoding standard for low bandwidth devices.

To sign up for the free trail, users and security system installer should contact the Qeeps customer service desk on 01845 521113 or consult www.qeeps.com for more information. Qeeps is sold directly through a network of independent security systems integrators via distributors Norbain, ADI-Gardiner and Videcon.
