RIM Announces Blackberry Playbook Apps

RIM has been busy announcing new applications for its tablet.
BlackBerry entered the tablet market with the PlayBook, a seven-inch tablet that was built to work with high-security corporate servers – and of course, BlackBerry phones. The PlayBook runs on the BlackBerry Tablet OS, an operating system capable of more powerful multitasking than any other, and can access apps from the BlackBerry App World.
Compared to the Android and Apple app stores, BlackBerry App World stocks relatively few tablet apps – though the techie-minded can “root” their PlayBook in order to be able to run Android apps. Unfortunately the current PlayBook doesn’t support 3G internet, however a PlayBook 2 is rumoured to launch this year, hopefully with 3G support.
