With lots of those I think the K850i looks washed out compared to the N95.. the author calls it 'more natural'. Depends on what you're used to I guess.

Both look good to me though. After all, it's a phone, not a camera!

There's by no means a big enough jump in quality for me to consider buying a K850. I do use the camera a bit, but not enough for me to justify buying it.

There is always the bonus of a xenon flash. Although during the day they are pretty luch level in the night it makes a world of a difference.

As for natural colour bascially the K850 gives better results in terms of if you wanted raw material to edit. Nokias have more vivid colours and are more suited to print right of the phone so to speak.

True, I would like a xenon flash.

I think most of us expected the K850 to outperform the N95 in terms of the camera.

Re: Nokia N95 versus Sony Ericsson K850i Camera Shootout!

I have come from a K800 to an N95.
I have (or had) owned Sony Ericssons since about 1992, and had no trouble at all.
That was until i bought my K800. It went back 4 times within a year with a 'white screen of death', so i lost heart with SE and went for the Nokia.

I am quite into photography, and what i liked about the K800 was the Zenon flash, which was fantastic. However, it could not be turned on manually (only turned off or put into auto). So you could not use it during the day for 'fill in' flash. It looks like the new K850 has the same problem.
That is one advantage the N95 has over the K850.
The K800 was a lot faster though than the N95. I can only put that down to the N95 having 5mp instead of 3mp. It would be interesting to see if the K850 is any faster with its 5mp.
