Cam N91 camera help

Hi, I have a few queries regarding the N91 camera.
There are three image quality modes in the camera settings, but on trying all 3, there is no difference in the image quality or the resultant file size. Does anyone know what these settings actually do?
Is there any software patch or utility to minimize shutter lag? The delay is quite noticeable and results in blurred images this shutter lag is a true camera killer.
Is it possible to capture video of 176x144 size in mp4 format, instead of 3gp? The mp4 vdo captured at higher frame size has poor frame rate, so much so that with night mode enabled. i barely got 3-4 fps. Is this normal?
Other than these minor hiccups, the N91 is unbeatable.

Cheers

Re: N91 camera help

on the image quality - have you transferred the pictures on to you pc? I have and there is indeed a difference. Viewing the pictures from the phon, i think you wont be able to tell the difference as much.

Re: N91 camera help

It depends a lot on the picture you take.
The JPEG compression means that if the image is fairly simple (large areas of similar colour etc) it will be quite heavily compressed so the different quality settings won't make much difference. If you get a really busy image, you'll notice the difference a lot. As naqi says, you really need to see them on a PC to appreciate the difference.

Hi,

Thanx for the replies, Ya i downloaded images to PC, there is indeed a noticeable difference in quality, specially in 640x480 res images.
now to part about the vdo, is there a workaround to getting a higher bitrate MP4 in 176x144 size. i just couldnt find any setting on the phone that can do this, or am i missing something?
