Exclamation N91 users...Please, I need your final.

OK this is it, tomorrow I go out and buy the N91. But, I'd like to know from all the N91 users out there if I'm making the right choice here. I've been looking around on forums and the more I look the more I get worried. Everyone's complaining about it, and hard disk corruption is really scaring me. If I buy the phone, I'll buy it from Kuwait, then try and update the firmware from a nokia center if they have the latest avaiable, then I'm flying back to Canada in less than 2 days.
My concern, if anything happens to the phone in Canada, what do I do? It's not supported there as far as I know. I'm worried that I'm gonna be throwing a lot of money out to waste...and to all the N91 users, satisfied or not, I'd like your final opinion on the phone.
As soon as I get it, if I end up getting it, I will be posting a day by day review of the phone and it's usage. But I just need to know; Will it live?

Go for it, its great. Dont forget if your not satisfied then you have 14 days to return it. Also, im not 100% sure but I think nokia offer a worldwide warrenty with all their phone, of 2 years I think.

Re: N91 users...Please, I need your final.

im satisfied although i have run into a slight problem but i dont think its entirely the fault of the phone.

i got it cause its a great mp3 player and big storage space. i was settling on the n90 but found this and it immediately won me over.

I've had not one problem with mine to be honest.. Remember, you only really here about people who have had problems, if everyone who hasn't had a problem posted on here it would show the real story!

Re: N91 users...Please, I need your final.

Got an N91 on Vodafone and when i started it up it appeared as a very big disappointment.

After a weekend of using the N91 i started to use all the functions and I realised what a powerful device this is. 4 Gig, yes 4 Gig that seems very smooth to browse and syncs with Windows Media Player, a 2 megapixel camera, good video capture played in Realplayer, Wi-fi and much, much more.

What more can i say!!

Re: N91 users...Please, I need your final.

Thanks very much for the replies guys...Say you had this offer, an N91, or an i-mate PDA2k + a 4GB mp3 player, which wud you go for? I really like the looks of the N91...so I'm leaning more to the N91!

Re: N91 users...Please, I need your final.

Well, you may aswell go for the N91. Youd rather carry around one all round device then carry around 2 things what does the same thing as the N91, wouldnt you?

Re: N91 users...Please, I need your final.

I'm just really really worried about all these problems everyone is talking about, the mechanics of the hard disk, failures, hangups, pc connection troubles, etc...All these things are holding me back. I'm being paranoid, but I worked really really hard to save up 1000 bucks to buy this phone (unlocked)...and I just don't wanna spend it on something that I won't even be able to send to a service centre. I'm thinking of the peace of mind I'd have if I just buy a normal phone, and a normal mp3 player which are nearly guaranteed to function free of "surprises" lol... The phone is not supported in Canada that's why, how would I update the firmware in Canada for example?

Re: N91 users...Please, I need your final.

ok man, ive answered most question on the n91 section of this blog for a while now and believe me the phone is way better than whatever you read about it, being a 14 year old looks were important to me and being my first phone i did my homework on it... i'll tell you what dont trust any review of the phone 100% why because they either had a proto or the one that just came out bla bla bla the main point is you will not be dissapointed...

Click here to go to a site dedicated to the Nokia N91

that is a good site as it does talk about the ups of the phone as well... anyway just to tell you what i gave up to get my hands on the nokia n91 because i fell in love with it and now that ive actually had it for erm...2 months (a lil more) ive seen why its such a hit device even if it was announced over 1 1/2 years ago... trust me you will love it even if it has a few snags its nothing that you cant fix at home... if there are HDD problems usually switching off the phone and turning it back on fixes it, as for the firmware try getting the latest one FOR MORE INFO ON IT CLICK HERE and if you do need to upgrade it in the near future just take it to a nokia service centre in Canada they should be able to help you out with it...

final verdict... go and buy the phone with peace of mind forget about the problems you know it might have, as if u keep those in mind you'll look for them the second you touch the device, but i can gurantee you that the phone wont fail to impress you all it needs is a few hours...

Hope That Helps

Re: N91 users...Please, I need your final.

annnnnd I have it.
I've had it for over 3 weeks now, and I must say...wow...for now I can't provide reviews or anything because I'm on my vacation in Egypt, as soon as I'm back in Canada, I will be providing feedback.
But if anyone out there is still debating...go for it. I'm very pleased, and guess what, september first, you can update your firware yourself online via nokia!!
