Re: Mini SD memory upgrade

I picked up a brand new SanDisk 2GB MiniSD on Ebay for £38 for my Nokia 6280 and have never had any trouble with it whatsoever.

Re: Mini SD memory upgrade

I've got the same issue as you. Bought a 2GB minisd card and couldn't get it working with XP as a storage drive. Couldn't format either using XP. After 700MB it started to play up with the gallery. Pictures not storing correctly.
Then bought a Sandisk 2GB and the gallery problems went away. But XP still will not pick it up as a storage disk. I guess it only works with 512MB cards in XP.

Re: Mini SD memory upgrade

I should mention that when I use to Nokia phone manager and set the connectivity to default mode, then I can store things to the phone ok.
Just not in storage mode.

Excuse me if Ive got this wrong... but your saying you computer wont pick up the 2GB card?

I had this problem with my laptop... the built in card reader only supported up to 1GB. Solution: Buy a USB memory card stick. Its like a USB pendrive only you put your memory card inside it.

VERY HANDY INDEED!!

Re: Mini SD memory upgrade

The computer won't pick up the 2GB storage drive when I plug the 6280 to it in storage mode. But it all works ok in default mode with Nokia phone manager.

What Phone manager are you using and how are you connecting to your pc/ laptop? If by Cable, what cable are you using?

Also, try formatting as "FAT"on your pc, not "FAT32"

I had same problem with 2gb memory card. In data storage mode it does not work. In nokia suite mode its fine.
