Try to use a wireless AP if you are in london, it helps keeps the bill in check

Sounds obvious but if you can afford the 3g card, try to buy a wireless card as well.

I've just bought a belkin 54g for 30quids, and it's blinding fast compare to 3g (even on its good days).

I know i'm stating the obvious, but had I know there were so many ap in london, I wouldn't have run a 100quid 3g bill last month.
