Well we talked about it, threaded alot, debated until the cows came home and argued and had accusation flying around of flaming of people posting marketing information - but
after all said and done, did the big event happen?

Of course it didn't....

But if they were going to release at the start of this month, it would make more sense to do it on Monday 4th rather than the 1st, which was a Friday... but who knows, I'm just guessing.

Well I did see all the promo around and it did say 1st October. I just wanted to make sure.

I was talkin with CPW today and they mentioned it wasn't like Orange would launch and leave them out of the handset supplies.

Of course it isnt worth suggesting a date - but I believe the next promo date is xmas.

CPW are being left out of the handset supplies. Orange 3G will launch in Orange shops only - this was discussed some time back.

Apparently someone mentioned it is now possible to get 3G handset demonstrations at some Orange stores, not sure how true that is. They haven't actually started letting phones go to the general public yet though, as far as I can make out.

However, Orange do have the handsets, and the systems are in place. Any day now.

Hi abs0lutely - yer that was said, but CPW mentioned some operators have tried this on before but usually come to their senses.

So early discussions here may be genuinely wrong - but who cares now anyway. What is more of interest is the xmas market and who gets their product out first.

I hear that 3 have a few surprises for xmas - not what they are but suggestion hinted was lifting of walled garden. Also O2 should have some news - which should surprise everyone. I accept this could be gossip, but who knows. Thought I would add this to everything else being said. It possible is as equally as valid.

Why are we discussing a orange thread in 3?

According to the ORange magazine the handsets can be demo in store plus it even says u can "try" for 7 days????.

Plus I have been shown the handsets in my local orange store. THis is because I have pested them so much and know each staff member by name.

Just pick up aorange magazine and this will confirm it. This is not gossip.

They also added they are just waiting for the word and its go go go go. Meaning anytime soon

I asked them about the Orange store launch only and they said yes until CHristmas time (december) this is to control stocks

Jon3G, we are talking about different matters so I'm not going to go through what went before with the threads when we were all talking at odds. That just becomes a headache.
