Is it possible to port a previously ported in number out of a 3 contract, mid way through?? Long shot I know!

From my understanding, this is possible, yes. However, I believe you will need to settle your contract first.
I've not heard of anyone who has ported their number out of a contract part way through though, and then been allowed to continue the contract with a different number.
I managed to port out my previously ported in number when they agreed to change my VT500 contract to 3 To Go. They supplied me with a PAC and i was able to get a new contract with another telco with my old number and 3 supplied a replacement USIM with a new number for 3 to Go. Lots of the usual billing errors etc but it all worked out eventually. You do need some very very compelling evidence to force 3 to agree to the above though and bear in mind I managed to do the above almost 10 months ago.
