I had an on-going complaint with 3 which, unfortunately, I have had to escalate to the Telecommunications Ombudsman.
I had my new handset stolen and was told (after having to navigate and talk for an hour re: the stolen phone with customer services) that I would not be receiving a handset (despite the fact that I had not been with 3 for more than 12 months therefore I thought I was covered by my free inclusive insurance)
So I requested a new SIM card which took over 3 weeks to be delivered, and did not work. I was then was sent another one and had to wait for over a week and a half for it to connect. In total I had to wait nearly 5 weeks for my SIM to arrive and finally be connected!
Customer Services are a joke as they could not tell me anything re: my complaint, compensation that I would receive or time it would take to resolve the complaint. Every time I asked the complaint to be escalated, their supervisor was "busy"!
I wrote about 7 letter of complaints and have 1 reply back after over 3 weeks.
I had to take all personal calls at work - and as I work in a bank, it's not exactly the done thing and was very inconvenient to be conducting all my personal affairs at work!
I couldn't be contacted once I left work for the day - basically it was a nightmare for 6 weeks!
Now that I am finally connected, 3 have phoned me up to offer me only my line rental back as compensation - £32.74!!!!! I was told that they will not offer me any more.
How generous of them!
Morale of the story is don't sign up to 3. If you do, you might as well pull down your pants and spread your ass cheeks now!
