Hi to any o2 staff. Just got my new c702 as an over the phone upgrade. It needs to go back though as it has 7 dead pixels. Can i swap this in store if it was an over the phone upgrade as it would be easier than doing it all through the post. Also, why has o2 removed google maps from the c702? It should be embedded in the location services menu so that the gps recognises it, but i have had to download it into applications and the gps won't work on it now. Thanks!

No, you need to use the returns label in the box, and get proof of postage from the post office.

I've also just received a C702 from o2 and as well as missing Google Maps (and Navigator?), I can't get the Tracker application to work because it can't find any satellites, despite having a clear view of the sky.

Have you managed to get your Tracker working okay?

I've not used the tracker. I have however downloaded wayfinder navigator and it works a treat. The programme is free but you have to pay for a month or year subscription. It's about a fiver for a month or 40 for a year. Not too bad. Try getting a satellite lock by going into location services, then status info, then the second tab. Wait a few mins and the satellites will appear and you'll get a signal lock. Try doing this before using tracker.

I've tried this but to no avail. It sometimes picks up one, maybe two satellites shown at the very left or right of the screen (never within the 'target'), but no matter how long I leave it, it just says 'searching'.

Can only think that it's faulty otherwise the GPS is so tempremental as to be almost pointless.

Strange, i've just driven for an hour and a half through the lake district using wayfinder and it didn't lose the satellites once. Maybe you have a dodgy handset. Is a-gps switched on?
