Folks,

I am moving to Australia in the imminent future for a while.

Can I take my e313 and use it there on 3?

At least if you go to Australia and get a 3 phone you won't have the walled garden anymore though

Yeah but as I said unless u want to pay 3 £150 to unlock your phone don't waste your money on a 3 phone here, as you won't be able to use it in Oz with an ****** sim card.

Thats why I am buying a non 3 phone here, cos I can unlock it and use it there with cheaper call rates there.

3 over here don't give out USIMs only so it won't do you much good.

Don't sweat it though. Phones here are dirt cheap compared to the UK. The LG 8120 is free on a plan that would be about 12 pounds in the UK. The Z1010 is free on a plan that is about 20 pounds in the UK.

Would advise that having been on a ****** 3G site 3 AU is less liked than 3UK, Telstra have a form of 3g out but not the same as H3G so won't work, Vodafone are due to launch mid 2005 in Australia, Optus later I think...
