Does anyone know if i can use a vodaphone / t-mobile 3g sim in a unlocked Three phone and then connect my sony UX50 PDA via bluetooth and access web or e mail content.
I like the look of there new data cards but obviously my sony does not have a pcmcia slot.
Cheers

Hello :D
Currently I use my T610 on Orange GPRS for my IPAQ H5550 with Bluetooth. However, I will hopefully have a phone capable of doing this over 3G in the near future.
Whether this is currently possible, I'm not sure. I doubt it, and as the main networks haven't launched their handsets yet, you wont get any support or settings from them. My best advice to you would be to wait until someone like Orange or Vodafone launch their 3G handsets. Then perhaps you could take your device into the store and check it all works properly before purchasing.
Hope that helps :)

thanks for the advice.
I think your probably right - i'll have to wait for the new handsets and hope they allow data usage (Unlike Three!)
Does anyone know when these new handsets will hit the shops?

I believe Orange and T-Mobile will be selling handsets from October, so about two months time. Three UK may start retailing the Z1010 before that, but I highly doubt they will open up Internet access (a shame, surely makes the Z1010 not worth the money).
I'm gunna race you to the shops in October! ;)

hi
if you use a netowork that is currently allowing 3g access, this IS possible.
However, you will have to use a network that has 3g enabled. Currently Orange and Vodafone are the only networks allowing 3g data access through their networks
