I have changed the code on my phone, but I cant resinstall firmware. This is because I already have the most up to date firmware on there already.

Is there any other way I can debrand?

You should have the option to reload the firmware in NSU. Check all the dialog boxes that appear. At least that is the case with the N95

No option - just says I already have the most up to date version :(

Are you absolutely sure there isn't a checkbox anywhere after giving you a warning or two? If so I'd find it a major downside of the N95-2.

What firmware are you currently on (and what network branding) and what operator code are you using?

For some reason, the updater does not always give one the option to re-install the firmware.

When I checked my firmware it showed that there was a update, so I updated the firmware and the failed 3/4 of the way through the update. The updater then gave me the option to recover from this crash which it did.

I than ran the updater again and allowed me to reinstall the firmware and as it failed the first time I decided to reinstall it again.

Now when ever I run the updater it says I have the latest version with out the option to re-install the firmware.

The problem I have is that the updater installed a later version of firmware than what is available for my phone and network provider (I did not change the product code). The phone was straight out of the box and I ran the updater after the battery was charged.

What I assume is that because the firmware is newer than what is on nokia's database for the network, it will not allow one to re-install the firmware.

One of these days I will have ring a nokia service centre to find out what went wrong.
