Mobile Broadband Data roaming cost in Italy?

Can anyone confirm the data costs I'm likely to incur using my Mobile Broadband Consumer account in Italy? I want to check POP email and send photos to Flickr and Facebook.

This Vodafine page (http://www.abroad.vodafone.co.uk/index.cfm?do=cost.data) suggests it might be £5/day up to 15Mb or £9.99/day fair use 50Mb.

This The Register page (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/03/15/vodafone_roaming/) suggests it might be €12 for 24 hours.
