I just go (on Monday an N95 8GB (on Vodafone) to replace my 3 year old 6680 (I hung on to it so long because none of the new phones had charging car kit cradles but decided it was time to upgrade!).

Any way, still getting used to it but the one thing I have noticed is that when starting a new text, either by actually starting the new text or by hittign reply to another text, it takes the best part of 10 seconds to change screens so I can begin writing. Is this normal? My 6680 used to do it instantly.

Also, If I send a text (so it says sending) and then press the hang up button, it cancels the send and puts the text in Drafts. My 6680 used to carry on sending in the background. I always used to do this so I could lock the screen and put the phone away (as sending long texts can take a while). I know closing the slider locks it and does allow the text to send but then I have the text message screen open when locked, which I don't like.

Hi Mate

the slow text message is i think the phone is using the memory card as memory in use which takes a little longer to open

change goto messages goto sent options settings other then memory in use then highlight phone memory

hope this helps:bandit:

Thanks - that worked great. Who'd have thought it! Surely they added fast memory for the 8GB since it is going to be used by most people for saving images and videos to.
