cannot transfer album art when syncing with vista home media player,
phone is on vodaphone contract.Is there a free site on vodaphone where i can download art.

i've found that syncing with itunes on my mac, the album art only transfers if my audio is encoded in AAC, rather than MP3. perhaps this is a similar issue?
transcode an album to AAC and see if the album art makes it onto your phone. if it does, consider transcoding your whole library. AAC was designed by the same standards group that established the specs for MP3 and it was designed to replace MP3. it is superior to MP3 at low bitrates (less than 192kbit) but they are roughly equivalent in quality at higher rates. for very high bitrates it is arguable that MP3 may reproduce the original source audio more precisely, but you'll likely never run into that (do you have greater than 256kbit mp3 files?)

remember, only tanscode from one compressed format to another if you don't mind the loss in quality.
