Hi

I just got one of these on 3 and am very happy with the functionality so far. However the slider seems a bit loose and when it is open and I use the front buttons (menu, c, etc..) it is even more noticeable. There is quite a bit of "g ive" and rattle.

To be honest I can probably put up with it but is this normal/usual or should I return it.

Many thanks.

Hi,

It's a common problem - some seem to report theirs is ok but I got one on 3 and it was the same so I got it replaced and the replacement had the same problem so I decided just to live with it.

There is another thread about the same thing at the moment too:

LOL harshwords but... yeah I have been let down by the build quality too BUT saying that, there simply is no other phone that has this much functionality so its a trade-off....

My 3rd N95 8gb was the best built of the ones I went through... still going strong (prays fervently)

Well, to be honest i agree with you, Nokia phones cant be beat for all the wonderful things they can do, however...... i ordered my upgrade yesterday and it wasnt a Nokia i have ordered, the only phone i have had that works great is the Nokia N91 8GB, my N95 8GB also works fairly well when it feels like it!

my NEW 02 XDA Stellar arrives tomorrow, looking forward to using it

GOODBYE NOKIA

I have decided against exchanging mine now. I did a little survey of N95s in the various phone shops near work and concluded that mine is not that bad. The main problem is the rattling which I have cured with a discreet piece of tape at the back.
