In June i signed up with mobile connections with a monthly cash back deal, as i as buying the phone for my daughter i thought the deal was ideal, however the company went into liquidation in July, i couldn't afford to Carry on repaying that amount without the cash back and so i contacted vodafone asking them to reassess my tariff, I kept getting told someone would call me back to this day i have not had a call back despite several calls to the customer services department. I have received threatening letters saying this will be sent to debt collection. I have written to the company three times and have emailed them twice and to this day nothing has been done. I have never known such c**p service.

I'm afraid its you and thousands of others. It looks like another one of these Cashback dealers has gone under only this week.

There have been meetings with MP's and the networks, but not much has come out of them.

Legally, your only redress in with the dealer as they were paying you out of their own commission, but as they have gone bust there is no chance.

Some networks seem a little more sympathetic than others, but the rule of thumb seems to be you are stuck with things until you get to the point where you can downgrade your tariff. This could be 6 or 12 months in depending on the terms of the contract.

Yes, they should have phoned you back, but in my experience that happens very little with any of the networks.

The issue is, have you got into arrears - if you have this will effect your credit rating. If not, are you at the stage where you can now downgrade your tariff? If you are, forget the previous conversations and just ring up to downgrade.

I'm afraid you won't get far in a Court of Law on this one

Thanks for that, I have known some providers to cancel contracts however it seems like vodafone is the only one that cant be bothered.
