Went onto Nokia website yesterday and downloaded Nokia Software Updater. Ran the application and was notified that i had the latest version. Great!. I then downloaded the Nokia maps upgrade that i aslo ran with no problems. Great!. I then went into maps and zoomed in and everything was green, i.e. Blank. Scratched my head for a bit and then ran the applications again. Still green. Got fed up with it and went to bed. First thing this morning called uo Nokia technical help (08450455555) and explained what i had done. 'No problem just install Nokia Map Loader to your PC and reinstall all the maps'. Great! Ran the program. Still Green. Called them back again and this time he was scratching his head. Told me to save all my data and format the memory card then run the whole process again. Great! Did all this and guess what? You got it. GREEN!!! I am absolutely threaders with it. Any one got any ideas? I am absolutely pulling my hair out. Thanks.

Backup what you need first but do not tick the settings options. Try formatting the mass storage. I would do it from within windows by connecting your device in mass storage mode via USB. Hard reset your phone *#7370# (default code 12345). This formats the internal memory.

DL the latest version of map loader and it should be OK.

Before doing this you can also try to delete the maps from your mass memory. There is an option for this within maploader and DL the UK map etc. This method is quicker and if it works, great.

When you upgrade the firmware for some strange reason it doesn't always recognise the "older" maps so you have to DL it again.

I had a similar problem...

Between formatting the card and running maploader you need to run maps on the phone to set up the directory structure.
