Hello,
After being with Vodafone for 3 years I decided to extend my contract once again in September 2007. When I called the company to ask for upgrade I was told that I already have a very good deal and there are unable to better it and because I am only on a £20 plan they cant give me a new handset and they made me pay £5 for a refurbished one. When I got my first invoice it appeard that they actually increased my payments to £25 a month. That made me a bit angry so I called Vodafone and said that I want it lowered or leave them altogether. Unfortuantelly I was told nothing can be done about this and it is too late for me to leave. Moreover the phone I got broke down twice and second time round I send it to repair service they lost my memory card! What made write this thread is the fact that my mum called Vodafone recently to cancel her contract and she was offered reduction of her payments by a half (to £10) and a brand new phone! However I made her leave them because of what they have done to me, so she's now switched to another network. I feel like I have been seriously ripped off!
My question is why do customers get treated so differently (my mom was on the same plan as me but has only been with them for 18 months)?
Is there anyway I can leave them now?
