Having updated the Software on my phone i now need to use a pin number to open the 2gb Micro SD. I haven't put any pin on it. All i did was saved all memory with Nokia PC suite as i do normally. I had the idea that since the memory was on the PC if i formated the sd card i would be able to use again. but i can't even format it. has this happened to any one else and did they cure it.

Did you use backup/restore?
Cos' if you did you should have searched and found the heap of info that advices not to use that across any debrand/upgrade.
Put the card in a PC card reader check that properties hasn't locked any features and then format from there.
Do a hard reset on your phone and then reinstall everything from scratch ( you should use PC suite to Sync your contacts first).
