Hi
I would like to point out a problem I had with my old data card modem on Vodafone
It started about a week ago having lost my email account (wrong password can' log on etc )
No help from center after a number of call In fact I am still waiting for a call back today ( 9 hours ago and still waiting) ..
Had enough of this old data card like a fool went to vodafone (Will I ever learn)
Anyway I bought a new G3 modem as above Install ok setup ok new email
not on your Nelly
The problem is to obtain a new Vodafone email you have to entry your phone number and a security code where upon it says we will send a text message with the activation code... fine with me so far...you cannot use the sms text when you are connected to the site. You cannot use the two together hence you log off get the text and the site generates a new code...
The old data card did a step backwards
No customer service at all...

Hi to.dick,
Sorry to hear about the problems you've had setting up a new Vodafone email account.
The simplest way to avoid this issue would be to use another computer to set up the account, so that you can receive the SMS whilst configuring it. You can access the account from any PC anyway so setting it up on another machine won't affect the account in any way.
If you don't have access to another PC to set this up, please give Vodafone a call on 08700 700 191, explain your situation and ask us to set up the account for you.
I hope this helps,

I got more in 1 email from you than all the calls to the so called customer service - tech.
thanks for the info
in fact thats what I did last night..
still no joy on my old email account.
I will have to spend another 25pence per call to try and fix it ????
More profit for Vodafone... for a poor service.
Thanks again
regards
dick

Hi Dick,
I'm sorry that you're still having problems with this. We'll be able to get this resolved for you but to do so we'll need to have a look at your Vodafone account. If you'd like me to do this for your please email me using the Vodafone online contact us (https://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatch/Portal/appmanager/vodafone/wrp?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Page_Help_ContactUs&pageID=PCU_0002) form here. If you include the code FIT135 in the body of the email it will come through to my team. Please fill in all the questions the form asks for and either write a quick description of your query or paste a link to your post here.
I look forward to hearing from you so we can get this resolved.
Thanks

Thanks for the email via (another computor as my emil still does not work 5 weeks now..)..
I sent one back but still no reply even this does not work does it..
If you look at my account for the last month it has cost me 122pounds on internet charges and now 99 pounds for a new g3 card and 30 pounds a month for what...
Getting fed up, once again the vodafone network has sent a code text to my phone so I can manage my mounthy account. great but as above...
I cannot keep using somebody's computor to log as you suggest, just to get the text message.
Please do not Start your reply by saying sorry just fix it.

Hi dick,
It looks like the email address you provided when you contacted us was mis-spelled, so when we've replied to it the email hasn't come through to you. I'll get the email sent out to you again right away, as I believe the mistake is just a missing letter.
Speak to you soon,

What ever you did (or your team today)
my email is back on how strange !!
Weeks of not being able to use it then bingo..no reseting of password no new account. Perhaps somewere in the depths Vodafone do listen.
thanks
Dick
