I started a contract in my name for by Nephew on the 31st of December with Vodafone. He had already tried a couple of phones and not liking them as teens do we had returned them to my local Vodafone retail store with out any problems. He decided today that the latest handset (N95) the battery was not good enough. So as we were going shopping to one of big nearby towns and the 14 day return was almost up I said we would return the phone.
I went in to the store and said that we had changed our mind and that we would like to return the hand set. The sales person took the phone away and then came back with the store manger. We were told that as we had already tried and returned a couple of phones with in the 14 days we were not allowed to return this one. Bearing in mind that each phone I had brought for my nephew was a new contract and each one had a 14 day return period. He then put a note on the account saying we were not allowed to return it.
I thought that you could return any phone with in the 14 days for whatever reason. As it is the 14 day period is up on Sunday I will not be able to get back to the store where the phone came from.
I called Vodafone C/S who said its not our problem.
So if you are thinking of buying from Vodafone DONT.

They are telling you bulls**t!

You are allowed to take it back, you have 14 days to do so. Go back and tell them you are returning it and if they refuse ask them for it in writting so you can take legal action against them!

Also call customer services and explain, they maybe or should be able to call the shop!

I took 8 phones back to the Orange shop once, each under the 14 day money back guarantee!

First of all contact your local trading standards!

As for vodafone they are an over priced network with many billing and online services problems.

Normally there are loads of vf staff who are quick to jump in with offers of help. I guess they don't want to get involved in this one!!

A big thank you to gembo2609 and your team. If only every one in Vodafone was as good as you. These problems would not happen. Must also thank a very helpful Susan who I spoke to this morning.

Glad you got it sorted!

However the manager of that store should get a warning as his sales ethics are not the best!!
