Sorry to moan but here is my story.
Just before Christmas my phone started to play up.Evertime I used it the sreen flashed and would appear upsidedown. I took the phone to carphone warehouse where I purshased it and was told as I had not taken out insurance, they couldn't help me and that I should go to a 3 store.Fair enough I thought. I rang 3 who told me that they would send the phone away for repair. I was told to be at home on New years eve for the phone to be collected, guess what no show.
On the 3 of jan, I was told that the phone was not picked up, as it was new year, and they didn't realise that they finished early?, no s**t sherlock, but i guess that would be hard to know in India.I was then told to bring the phone into town to the 3 shop and a temporary phone will be waiting for me, I was t6old that they had arranged it for me. Fine, went into town( 15 miles ), went to the store.....guess what, they have never heard of me and no-one had rung them.So left the phone there for repair. A week later the phone was sent back to me, with a kind note say that it was water damaged and that it was beyond repair, yes I got the general photo with the arrow pointing at the problem.I got the impression that they have a photo of every phone in the world and they send them out when you send them in for repair to avoid warrenty, in fact I have heard that this actually happens, allegedly.Anyway spoke to a bloke in India about the damaged phone and told him that that phone has never been anywhere near water, and was not water damaged, he suggested that it could have been sweat.....eh? yeah right i was using the phone as an underarm deodorant.
He proceeded to tell me that i could not have a replacement, and that I could buy one from a friend or just see out the contract without a phone....nice one,
After agreeing to buy a k610i for £50,( I hope that this is not a refurbished one, no-one has told me that it is?) I was told that I need to be at home today in order to get the phone.Guess what no phone.I rang 3 and was put though to India, where i was tolds that the phone was sent to the store in town. Ok no problem, I have wasted my second day within two weeks but hayho i can collect the phone today.The operator said that they would find out if I could collect the phone form the store.Guess what the phone was not at the store.......due to a technical error ( india's favourite excuse ) after trying to get the call center to tell me what the technical error was they finally admitted that they had not ordered the phone.Great, no phone another wasted day.Asked to speak to the supervisor ( he was talking to me like a robot, obviouosly reading some autocue ) and was told to wait while he got them, waited a few mins, and guess what, they were all busy....he then told me that they would only tell me the same thing anyway....chuffin great.Ok then, can I please order my new phone.......errrr.......no, why not? I asked.......you cant order your phone for another 48 hours as your account wont let us as you can only order one phone at a time. I told the call center op, that he told me that i didn't order a phone previously due to the famous technical error......at this point he was very confused and told me that there was nothing else he could do........marvelous.....the india run around in full swing.So now i have to wait until Saturday until I am allowed to ring them again to start the whole process again.Someone made an error at their end by not processing my order, I get told to wait at home for a delivery, and they don't arrive, and now I can't ring them again until saturday.I was offered a £5.00 call voucher, I declined this as I told him that without a phone what's the point. No phone since before xmas, two wasted day's and incompetant cs........whats the bloody point.
PS If anyone has an old phone that they want to sell me, drop me an e-mail......i'm desperate.
