Swapping/Porting numbers between PAYG Sims

To cut a long story short I want to swap numbers between sims.

The reason why is that I got a Nokia N73 on T-Mob PAYG and sent it back as faulty when after receiving a text the phone crashed and rebooted, this happened all the time despite re-putting the sim in. So the phone came back and there was still the same problem. I tried it with the sim that came with the phone, and hey presto it worked.

So I'm guessing the problem lays with the sim. Can I swap/port the numbers between the sims so that they will work. I've contacted T-Mobile but thought I'd post on here to get some views from people who know what they are doing:cool:

I think what you have to do is port the number to a different network first eg. vodafone, 02. Then once that's done you need to port it back i don't think its possible to swap but correct me if im wrong somebody.

No you cannot port numbers between different t-mobile sims. You would have to port hte number out to another network first, then back in to t-mobile.

Or, to make things easier, you could just order a replacement sim card from t-mobile. This would come with your same telephone number and all your credit etc. Just phone customer services or go to a t-mobile store.
