My phone is fine as far as I know, just had few problems at New Year as always happens anyway.

Have you tried restarting your phone (switching it off and back on)

Phones operate pretty much the same way as computers these days and so can suffer resource exhaustion if not restarted sometimes.

This will exhibit itself as sluggish operation in the User Interface or taking a long time to do things such as send a text or process a received one.

When you go to charge your phone might be a good time to restart it if you must leave it one while it charges (I tend to charge mine at night and switch it off so that the incoming current is focussed on the battery rather than having to power the phone's radio hardware, etc)

I use O2 too by the way and had no such problems (am using a Sony Ericsson K800i)

No, your memory card will not affect sms.

Give o2 a call and ask them to refresh your VMMS mailbox.

Unfortunately, the fact that your sms are getting through eventually means that the fault is difficult to diagnose....if they stopped altogether it would be easier to find where the problem lies.

Could it be a weak 3G signal?
