Streaming audio via Bluetooth to my car stereo stops each time the vodafone screen saver comes on. This is very frustrating when you are in the middle of bopping to a track!
I cannot find any settings to change settings / change screen saver on this phone.
Please help

Hi Polyphonic,
If you complete the following steps the phone should be set so that the screen saver only kicks in when the music isn't being played.
• Select Settings from the main menu
• Scroll to highlight General, select options and open
• Scroll to highlight personal, select options and open
• Scroll to highlight Theme, select options and open
• Scroll to highlight Powersave, select options and open
• There will be an option for Now Playing, this needs to be ticked.
When music is being played the phone should remain on the home screen with the track name scrolling across the top.
It shouldn't cut the music off once this is set. Unfortunately however I don't know anyone that's played the music through the car via Bluetooth to test it.
Hope this helps,

Hi
Thanks for your reply
when i navigate to themes> Power Saver, there are 3 options;
date and time
text
animation
there are no setting for Now Playing under any of these. I have the latest firmware installed. Is this an additional app?
Thanks

Hi Polyphonic,
After speaking with our technical team again for further advice, it seems that Vodafone Branded phones don't have this 'Now Playing' option, you wouldn't be able to try this option therefore.
One thing you can try is, while the slide is closed on the phone and the song is playing, click 'unlock' and ok to unlock the phone from closed mode, this might work. If not, try deleting your screensaver files from the phone so that there are no screensaver files left to operate screensaver mode.
If this doesn't work and you still have the problem, unfortunately it's something we are unable to help further with. As your phone is branded to Vodafone, you don't have the option to click 'Now playing' to stop the screensaver from kicking in.

just debrand your N95,
if you google it theres a very useful guide. I was on orange who also comprise their N95 handsets and debranding was the best thing i ever did!
you'll also get your VOIP

Hi, Managed to get this working by making sure the handset screen position down, so that the media controls are visible. This prevents the power save feature from interrupting the streaming media.
Also , on debranding, is the phone sotware now available for N95 8GB?

im not sure what you mean by that.
If you are branded onto vodafone then they wont have the latest update for you. As you well know there is a new firmware update for the n95 8gb's but if you went thorugh the software updater it is going to tell you that your software is updated when it isnt.
i found this link very useful
