The write up is quite good, but I would just like to say, I have purchased and used the Viewty, the G800 and the SE 850i before I purchased the Nokia N82, I would just like to add a very small comment, as it is very late and have to be up at 6am.

In the last 14 months I have been using the SE K800i, I have found this phone to be a very good all round east phone to use, and it has lots of good features, including a very good camera and xenon flash.

I thought it was time, a month ago to buy a new phone, my 1st one was the SE850i.... it was quite a good phone and able to send via email full size photo's that the camera could take, I was not impressed with the photo's hat it took, also the flash is just about useless, also the idea of the sense touch buttons on the screen are a bad idea.

The next phone I got was the Viewty, not a bad phone at all, great screen, silly 120 FPS video, that can only play back in slow motion! camera is quite good, but flash is very weak, like the 850i and texting is not really that easy on the sense touch screen, also, it could not send the photo's it took at full resolution via email, which I find really strange, it's not network related, it's phone related.

Next was the Samsung G800, great phone great camera, ****e flash, whats the point of a good optical zoom if the xenon flash won't work further than 4 feet! and was always over exposed if closer than 2 feet, texting terrible because of the top heavy weight of the phone and the dreaded limit of 500kb sending limit via email, also if a web page was bigger than 500kb it would not allow you to download it, and it had HSDPA!!!! whats the point in having a very fast connection, but limited on upload and download!!!

Well the phone was the Nokia N82...... I had heard of it, and read about it, seen the photo's, so thought, I want one.

Like all my phones, I bought it on eBay, from the time it was out the box, I have not been able to put it down, camera excellent, flash is better than my proper camera!!, exposures close or far away are spot on, flash or without flash, no slide or touch screen to worry about, its a great candy bar phone/camera, that is just perfect in every way, it can also send as big a file as you want via email too! also has wi-fi

I can't see me changing this phone for a very long time.......

snowwolf i've read plenty of your posts about the N82, but missed this one until now.

You've convinced me that the N82 is my logical upgrade from the SEK800i. I have had the Viewty, and it's off back to 3, cause it was just awfull when it came to taking pics, there are about another 10 things that were majorly wrong with it too.

So, thanks for this. I wish i could afford the sim free prices for the handset, but i can't so it looks like i'll be forced into the o2 deal that is doing the rounds for £35, unless 3 get their finger out and do it on Mix&Match 700 for ~£30 themselves.

Cheers.

Hello there,
I have also N82 but now I got E51. I don't mind the camera so the E51 is now #1 and N82 downgraded to #2.
