Does anyone know if the N82 will be released on 3? Or if not can I buy an unlocked version of it and get it working on 3? Finally if this phone does work on 3, is there a site I can go to with an idiots guide with all the 3 settings so I could set mine up to work?
Many Thanks
3 are deciding between 3 different Nokias. Which ones come out remains to be seen. A Sim Free model will work on 3 however. You don't need to worry about settings, the handset will auto configure them.

What do you lose if you can't access Planet 3? Does everything else work ok except Planet 3?
Thanks
if you use a non 3 phone on 3 you may not be able to down load some of 3's content or run some of 3's applications.

If you use an unlocked phone on 3 you will not get free msn, free unlimited skype or be able to fully utilise all planet 3 services. It`s all to do with the way they programme the software to work in ONLY their own handsets. Fair enough !
You will however be able to get the cheap tarifs on PAYG and limited access to planet 3 content but maybe not all of it.

Do you think Planet 3 will ever work on an unbranded N82? Right now when I try to connect to mobile.three.co.uk I get a blank page, which isn't much good for enjoying free content or applications or checking my balance etc :(
I want my phone to be working to its fullest potential but I don't fancy having to flash my generic phone with the Three firmware!

Anyone heard if 3 have decided whether to use the N82 or not yet?
Im now out of contract and really dont want to lose my tariff but there isnt another phone on their network that i fancy :cross-eye
So its really 3 get this phone, i risk using a sim free one (dont wanna lose slingbox, agile messenger or internet access) or leave 3 :speechles
Any info would be great

Hi, I'm thinking of buying an unbranded N82 for the 3 network. littlekev says things like msn and skype won't be free. Why won't they be free if you have the unlimited data option?

The N82 is bigger than the N95!
The width and thickness is the same, but it is taller.

Looks slimmer and far smaller when the N95 keypad is out.

Not heard anything but I heard the 6220 is on its way to three. And thats basically the N82 minus WIFI and the 3.5mm jack. Failing that just get it sim free although you wont be able to use the 3 certified apps. If your using a 3rd party messenger it should be covered by your network unlimited data plan but chek with the netwok as some (TMob) dont allow IM to fall under data usage so the only way you could get it free is by only using it over WLAN.
I think Orange allows IM as part of its data allowance as I use it all the time.
3 could just be waiting for the black version to ship before commiting.
