If I debrand my N95 (currently V11 with o2) has my warranty been invalidated? If I have a problem with my phone in the future (heck, i'm already on my 2nd one!) am I better off sending it direct to Nokia rather than to o2?

Has there been any news on V21 yet?

Hello

I debranded my o2 N95 last month which I ve owned since May .. and its best thing I ve done with it

I did a full reset then added v20 to my phone

I still have o2 branding on mine even after full reset... screen saver etc stayed there

o2 might kickoff depends how thorough they are..or you could take it to a Nokia service center (who probably wouldnt care)

Debranding will void your warranty with the network provider and it should also void your warranty via a nokia service centre.

Some members have reported that they have had a debranded phone repaired under warranty, while others have reported that a warranty repair was refused because the phone had been debranded. It is in nokia's terms some ware that modifying may invalidate your warranty.

There are numerous posts on this topic on the forum and it could be worth doing a search to see what other members have posted on this topic.

As UK nokia's now come with a 2 year warranty via a service centre you will need to way up the pros and cons of debranding and the risk of loosing your warranty.
