Video Calling won't work on PAYG !!

I recently purchased the N73 on PAYG for my other half. The reason I got it was that it is a cheap 3G and therefore I could use the video calling ( as recommended by the sales person )

I have a N95 with 3 and upon video calling my other half it will not connect. I have spoken with T-mobile and they have stated that it will not work on PAYG it has to be on contract.

the only other option I have now is to get the N73 unlocked and put another networks PAYG sim in it.........

any other suggestions or ways of avoiding this ?

If you actually asked the salesperson about PAYG and video calling and were told it would work, you have been advised incorrectly and I suggest you take this up with the salesperson or at least the relevant store.

If you did not mention that you wanted PAYG and video calling, but acted without the full information, then I know no other way of dealing with it than what you suggested.

why would they cut off a potential source of revenue, thats just silly.

on the other hand i know of NO-ONE who uses video calling.
