Sky Mobile and firmware V20.0.015

Ok, I have an N95 on Three, and after numourous crashes i decided to debrand the phone, well it originally was an Orange phone anyway so Three can't complain!!

I use to use Sky Mobile so i can set my Sky+ to record things via my handset, very handy application :) But now i have version 20 on my N95 i cant get the application to go past authenticating user, i've reinstalled and re-registered but no luck..

Has anyone else had this problem?

Strange, so the App installs fine then, but its not communicating, with a server or something??

So its not orange's / three's software & i dont see why it shouldn't connect on the generic firmware, or at least communicate properly, but hey, i have people telling me msn messenger is working fine on three firmware and generic firmware's but i've 2 N95's attempting to get msn working but its not going past verifying user so i'm a bit stuck also.

Who know why, technology eh.. I'll use alternatives cause i've tried everything i know, i would like three's msn working but even three dont know why its not working & i've left it in their hands for over a week. Sorry can't help on this occasion.

I was going to post to say that the Sky Anytime app works on v20 over Three as I used it only last week to set a recording. However, before posting I tried it and am now getting stuck at the Authenticating User page also. I'm just trying to connect over WLAN and am still stuck at Athenticating. Is there a new version of the app out?

Not sure about the sky app as i dont have sky (use cable) so dont use the app, actually tv is rather boring, divx avi's, the internet, the best way to watch tv.

Sounds like an interesting app though.

just checked mine it was working fine last week on v20 but now not getting past Authenticating user

Same here - v20 firmware and stuck on "authenticating user" :rolleyes:

It must be a Sky problem as it was working last week just fine...

No guys it is not only Skype which is not working with v20 but other sip sevices like vbuzzer and tpad also not working with version 20of Nokia N95-1. I dont know what nokia did in the new version. and I am crying since I upgraded from v12 to v20. Just hoping Nokia will fix this problem in their next version but when?

My Sky application still not working, can't get passed connecting to server now.. It always worked for me when i used the N73, i will try a little experiment when i get home, i'll put my sim back into the N73 and see if it logs on.. Will let you know!

think its a sky server problem as i had it working fine a few days ago on my n95 8gb and now getting server error when trying to connect today.

Have you looked at the sip settings under tools -> connections to see if the settings haven't been changed / wiped with the upgrade?

anytime hasn't been working for nearly a week here, first it would stick at authenticating user, now it won't connect. Up until last week it would work fine on version 20

Well its not working on my N73 either, so i feel a little better now cause obviously its a problem on Sky's end.. But i guess we also need to know if anyone not on 3Uk can access it?

I spoke to Sky yesterday and the platform is on its arse and "the technicians are working on it, but don't yet have a resolution time"
