The version V20 firmware that has been released is for generic / sim free phones. Phones that are network branded may take a while before V20 is available as the networks have to add their branding / tweaks before releasing it for their phones.

I am not sure if a V12 is available for voda, but you can check on the nokia web site to see which is the latest firmware available for your phone.

if you really want to upgrade to the very latest firmware you can debrand your phone, but this may give you problems in the future if you have any warrenty claims the choice is up to you.

Its simply to debrand if your not aware, you need 2 programs, NSS (nemesis service suite (NSS) and the nokia software updater.

Its easy to use, you simply need to change your product code to a generic one & then update, but read up on how to do this, there are too many places, dont wana create another. Plus if you read a proper article, it should warn you of the risks & warranty etc, so take all those under consideration.

Also debranded and updated my vodafone N95 to V20

I doubt we will ever see an official update and the improvements really make it worthwhile.

I had loads of problems with PC suite so I re-installed it and it's been ok though it keeps telling me it wants to install nokia modem.
When I did mine I copied everything to my memory card and removed it before the upgrade and then copied it back to the phone and had no problems

Does anyone know what the name of the file that "iWallet" stores all its information? I need to reset my phone to get rid of two applications that will not remove the conventional way and I want to backup the file to save me having to recreate all the info.
