The MSN messenger you can download through the 'Downloads' application on the N95 is no longer working. Regardless of which connection I use, Three x Series Silver or a wi-fi connection, it says 'MSN Messenger is not currently available. I can connect through Fring and on my PC at that time.

Anyone else having this issue?

I've been trying to get messenger working as well recently. I can use it through fring & gizmo but nothing else. Not of the official messengers can connect, i even got the three version installed recently on a generic N95 but its also not connecting.

I've had three looking into it, they just ask so many questions, we couldnt solve the problem with their assistance yet they said the service appears to work fine. Anyway i changed my password and even gave them my screename.

Their looking into it for like 4 days now & hope they find out whats causing this issue, i know a few also have this problem of connecting, is there anyone out there using msn, particularly the three version on firstly

any symbian phone & if its working let us know...
then is anyone using the N95 three version.

thanks

What version are you guys using, downloaded from three or the msn provided through nokia downloads?

Is it a generic firmware or three firmware?

I've just tested the three version (via three's connection) again on generic firmware & i've tested the live messenger from nokia downloads via wlan, neither of them work. I also tried the older N73 version of msn on the N95, it installed but does not login.

Are you guys running v 20 firmware?

Im running v20, got mine form Nokia downloads section. Only prob i have is if i connect via wlan wen i sign out it stays connected, i can do to connection manager and end connection but it just keeps connecting itself automatically lol. Its a pain in the arse tbh

I'm really interested in the Three Messenger, for whatever reason its not working. I've got 2 N95's to test it with, i've tried 4 different versions of messenger & they all refuse to work on both N95 phones.

One N95 has all my software installed & the other is brand new firmware with only MSN installed, no other apps or configs has been changed from defaults.

I've tried using the Three Version of Messenger & the Live version from Nokia Dowloads App, neither work on any of the phones. I've tried connecting via a secured WLAN as well with no luck.

These phones has a generic firmware v20.

Strange enough, it seems to communicated with the service when using WLAN but the live messenger responds saying "Messenger is not available right now. Please try later" It retrieves settings & custom names though, i think this is done though when syncing settings

Just weird, as far as i can tell its not working.

Ok, wireless lan msn should work, Are the others reporting in the UK also?

thanks
