Really pleased with the build quality (even though I only had it in my hands a few hours..)moving up from the n93 the most noticeable thing is the gorgeous design and great style about it.
It comes pre loaded with Nokia maps and you can activate 3 months free trial of the navigator (womans voice)...
In short, it is a real pleasure to use, decent sound through the loud speakers and joy oh joy, it is has a jack plug in the top for your own headphones (proof that the designers read forum boards?)
I cannot mention the iphone alongside this in terms of functions because this wins hands down...but it is a close contest between them in terms of looks, with the iphone winning out..but, if you like your kit on the functional rather than the pretty side then I recommend this without reservation.
Good deal on 02 too (fromcarphone werehouse)..£35 per month, free phone, 600 mins 500 text.
One question for the gps users out there, how much bundle would the average guy use in a month...I might get me a some.
Regards
Jem

I liked mine so much, I ordered the wife one on saturday, and took delivery of it today...awesome christmas present or what?
ps did I mention about the the 'one click ' option to send pics and video up to your blog? (vox or flickr) set it up yesterday , as I already had a vox account - it isn't easy to make me go 'wow' but that did!
I posted up a few photos' using the 'close up' function on a watch forum and got quite a few comments about the high quality...and those guys know their photography, so I was very pleased...

I had the same exression on my face when I sent my first photo to flickr, I was amazed how easy it was, and it sends the full size photo!!! how neat is that.

I have spent over £1000 in last month on mobile phones, (LG viewty, SE K850, Samsung G800) to find the one that did all I wanted it too, and the N82 hits every spot.

Just like to mention that Nokia aand SE are the only phone companies that allow unlimited size sending, LG and Samsung limit any sending or receiving to 500kb that is just sooooooo bad, considering most phones can take photo's that are 1mb and over.

Well done nokia on a great phone

I got that under the battery...mmh, not sure why that would be. There are plenty of experts round here who should know ,I would think

As far as i can tell the only difference is "Made In Finland" is as it says made in finland and "Made By Nokia" Is made in China.

Hi Vanderlay.... can you go to www.t-mobile-favourites.co.uk and see if you have the option for mobile TV

It don't matter what I do on my phone, it will never give me the option for T-mobile TV

I am think that it will not show the TV link because mine is an Asian phone.

Even when I log onto my T-zones I do not have the mobile TV icon which seems really strange

Perhaps the phone is not compatable, I have not ever had any problems with previous phone in the last month, K850i G800 and viewty just seems odd with the N82 perhaps its the symbian software?

Sorry..... if you go to the link I put on here, I was told by T-mobile there would be a "mobile TV link" but nowhere to be seen, I am gonna put my sim into my K800 an see if the link comes up.

I just put my sim in my K800 and put in the url www.t-mobile-favourites.co.uk and at the top it gives you the "TV" link, when I put the same sim in the Nokia N82 and go to the same link, there is no TV link.....very strange????

What are the charges like for posting photos to Flickr (this is the feature I am really interested in - although it is possible to do this via email even on my ancient 6230)? Does the O2 contract include data? Does the phone shrink the image down from 5Mpixels before it transmits (I presume it does otherwise even on HSDPA it would take ages). Does the image contain any EXIF data? Anyone willing to post a link to a photo on their Flickr account?

Chris.

Chris,
The first pic here http://sooper8.vox.com/ is taken with the N82 and uploaded to Vox (which, by the way, is excellent).
As for data attached to it..I am not sure what that is you refer to, but go over and have a look at Nokia Beta Lab and they have a GPS photo tagging software...
http://www.nokia.com/betalabs
infact go over and have a look because they have some great beta software for the N82.
Cheers
Jem
ps by the way not sure of the costs of that kind of uploading...I only do it when I am on my home wireless or some other wireless

Thanks, nokiajem - will do.

Partially answering my own question on data costs: the O2 tariff includes 100kb of data per month - which is obviously pretty useless as a single photo could take all of that. After that its £3 per Mb, which is also pretty expensive. However, if you cough up £7.50 a month, you get "unlimited data" (on top of your voice and texts) which is much more like it.
