Screen stays 'landscape' after using Music Player

When I slide down to reveal the music player buttons, the screen orientation turns to 'Landscape' but when I slide the phone back into 'neutral' the screen stay in 'Landscape'.

I would have expected this to return to a 'Portrai' format but it doesn't.

Any ideas why?

That's normal and a useful feature to many of us, quickly flick open the media player buttons and back to get landscape.
