Since updating to v20 my phone seems to have forgotten that it has all of the maps installed on a 4gb card and tries to redownload them each time that you get a satellite lock.

To try to rectify this, i've deleted all the maps via nokia maploader and have redownloaded them to the memory card. However, this still doesn't seem to work and it is still downloading loads of data each time it gets a satellite lock.

Any suggestions as to how i can resolve this?

Many thanks

I would personally do a backup of your phone but do not tick the settings under PC suite. Copy the entire contents of your memory card to a temporary folder on your hard drive. Then just hard reset the phone using *#7370# (default code 12345) and also format your memory card, not just delete. Restore the stuff back to your phone. Get the latest version of maploader and download the new maps. Make sure you have AGPS network assigned for quicker fixes. Fingers X and hopefully it should work okay...

Try what the ez2remember suggested, but I would first try to see if you have the latest version of MapLoader - if not, get it installed and try downloading the maps data again.

Umm thats an easy one to sort it did the same to me, when you updated the firmware it installed the latest version of Nokia maps which works with the latest maps, thus the ones on your card are redundant.

Use map uploader to delete all current maps then get the latest version of it and re-download them. make sure you delete the old ones first or you will have to go hunting for them later to get your room back.

Hope this helps
